‘No Man’s Sky’ encourages you to explore with new trailer

Getting gamers hyped up for the upcoming release of No Man’s Sky, the game’s developer Hello Games is release four “Guides to the Galaxy.” This week’s video shows off the exploration that can be done with the game. Indie game No Man’s Sky claims there are 18 quintillion planets with a “limitless variety” of biodiversity, so yes, there is much exploring to be done here. The video shows players moving around the universe and seeing the worlds and the creatures that inhabit them. It doesn’t say much else about gameplay but perhaps we’ll learn more from the upcoming fight, trade, and survival guides.

Yelp’s crowdsourcing users for nearby PokéStops

Yelp is cashing in on the popularity of Pokémon Go. The app can now be used by users in the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand to find PokéStops. These stops are real-life locations Pokémon Go players use to get in-game items like Pokéballs and potions to help them advance in the game. Both the mobile and web version of Yelp now has a filter to easily locate these businesses and other spots close to PokéStops. It’s not an official partnership between Niantic Labs and Yelp so they’re asking users to provide information if there’s a PokéStop nearby. But it is a useful feature for avid Pokémon Go players out there. It isn’t available here yet but the launch is so recent here after all. Let’s hope we get the feature soon.

The free download is now available from both the App store and Google Play Stores. Did you know it's also the 20th anniversary of Pokémon? Watch for the launch of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon - games to be released for Nintendo 3DS on November 18, 2016.

Purported iPhone 7 video leak hints at larger camera, lack of headphone jack

There have been a significant number of purported iPhone 7 leaks from casemakers, component manufacturers and part sourcers. While everything is far from official until Apple reveals the next generation iOS flagships, we're seeing some details consistently standing out.

The above video posted on Weibo shows the alleged design of the iPhone 7's enclosure with redesigned antenna lines, a larger camera bulge and, no surprise, no headphone jack. Overall dimensions of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 dummy shows that it is quite identical to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S. iPhone 7 is also expected to have a Smart Connector and additional speakers, similar to the iPad Pro line. This is all we know so far from extremely unofficial and dodgy sources but its good to see that iPhone rumours are still as exciting in 2016 as they were in 2007.
