Twitter to let users apply to be a verified account

Twitter is offering its users the “blue tick” badge to all its users. This symbol for verified accounts was first made available to high-profile users, such as celebrities, politicians, public figures, etc.  But now all users can apply to get that blue tick attached to their profile. According to Twitter’s Tina Bhatnagar, Twitter’s goal is to give users access to “high-quality accounts to follow, and for creators and influencers—no matter where they are in the world—to easily connect with a broader audience.”

If you want to apply for the badge, you can check this link to access the online application form and Twitter will need you to meet some criteria, including a verified phone number, email address, website, and public tweet settings attached to them.

Leaked photos of Sony’s supposed upcoming flagship surface

Looks like we’re getting a new entire look for Sony’s next flagship, if these leaks are your basis. GSM Arena was able to get their hands on what is supposedly Sony’s upcoming flagship. The Xperia F8331—which will probably get a new name—is unlike the Xperia Z lineup in terms of looks. It has a Nokia/Microsoft Lumia feel to it. The top and bottom of the device is now flat, while it’s curved to the right and left of the device. The camera gets a new layout with dual-LED flash and it supposedly supports 4K video capture on both front and rear shooters.

The screen is slightly bigger than the Xperia X Performance but still maintains a 1080p resolution. It gets front-facing speakers but there’s still a panel at the back, which they speculate could be an antenna window. Its rear looks like it’s been made with brushed metal. There’s also an NFC antenna near the earpiece, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. No word on release date yet but they’re speculating Sony might show something at IFA this year and this could be one of them.
