Get alerted about notifications when you pick up your phone with Vibify

A new Android app on Xda-Developers will let you know if you have new notifications as soon as you pick your phone up. Vibify takes the place of those notification LEDs in front by vibrating once you pick up your phone (if there are notifications, that is). It senses when you move your device and vibrates to let you know you should check your phone. You can select which apps can alert you and disable the app when you’re running low on battery. You can even configure it to turn the screen on when picked up to show you that there is a new notification. If you want to try out the app, you can download the beta version here.

Google Now to help you not miss your stop when commuting

We’re sure it’s happened to you countless of times before. You’re tired and fell asleep on the commute home from work and missed your stop. Google Now wants to help you avoid that with a new feature. Users have the option to set an alarm for saved locations such as Home and Work, meaning you no longer have to miss your stop again. The alarm generally knows when you get on and off a bus or train so all you need to do is tap the alarm when you’re on public transport. It will alert you when you’re near your destination so you don’t miss your stop.

First Vine from outer space shows the Earth’s orbit

While Astronaut Mike Massinimo was the first person to tweet from space in 2009, there is a new social media first coming all the way from outer space. Astronaut Reid Wiseman has sent the first Vine video from space showing the Earth’s orbit in six seconds. Wiseman explained in the caption that the sun does not set on this 90-minute orbit because the International Space Station travels along the terminator line, which is the border between darkness and light on the face of the earth. It is still quite a sight though.

Telltale promises to spill more details on ‘Game of Thrones’ after E3

Bad news for Game of Thrones fans waiting for the official game. Telltale PR director Job J. Stauffer tweeted that details about the game will come out after E3 and not during the expo. The company is currently focusing on the release of Tales from the Borderlands.

Telltale hasn’t really released any details about the upcoming game so we’re keeping our eyes and ears open (and possibly the crows we’ll be able to hire) for any news on the GoT game.
