Video: The wickedly clever Anime-inspired Internet Explorer ad

I can't say I understand what is going on in this anime-inspired ad for Internet Explorer, but as a fan of animation, I think it is quite entertaining and creative. Not sure if the main character is fending off malware or software updates but I want to see more.

Google to pair Google+ profile picture with mobile number

Google plans to link your Google+ picture to your mobile number by early 2014. This feature will allow you to see your contacts’ Google+ profile photos when they call you and vice versa. It will be particularly helpful when you are contacted by someone you just met and haven’t added into your contacts list yet, plus it gives you control over what photos of you people use for their list. There is no word yet about what versions of Android will carry this feature.

Facebook revamps Share and Like buttons

Facebook tweaked its Share and Like buttons used on blogs and websites to feature bright blue background with Helvetica typeface. The Next Web said these two buttons are currently seen on more than 7.5 million sites and seen over 22 billion times per day, which might explain the small redesign.

YouTube officially debuts Google+-powered commenting system

A new commenting system makes its official debut on streaming video site YouTube. The conversation-style commenting arranges comments based on factors such as people you know, allows for easy moderation through auto-approval and word filters, and allows for private conversations with people in your circle. International roll out of the new system will start soon.
