There is now video on Instagram pitting them against Twitter’s own Vine app. The video function can be easily accessed from the same place you take photos on Instagram and it allows you to take 15-second videos at a time. The company also announced that it has added thirteen new video-specific filters and you can pick your favorite scene to be the cover image of the video.
Instagram wanted to emphasize that this doesn’t affect photos at all and you will still only share those videos the same way you would with photos, meaning either in private or public. And they wanted to make sure you understand that “as with photos, you own your videos” to allay previous concerns about ownership rights.

Apple Camp is now accepting applications from creative kids ages 8-12 to learn how to shoot their own footage, create an original song in GarageBand on an iPad, and put it all together in iMovie on a Mac. This FREE workshop, held at participating Apple Retail Stores, spans three days and ends with campers debuting their masterpieces at the Apple Camp Film Festival. Kids will learn the rudiments of filmmaking, from concept to soundtrack, storyboard, shooting, production and editing. Children will have to be accompanied by their parents.
