Microsoft releases Kinect source code to Open Source

Microsoft just released some of the source code for its Kinect Motion sensor accessory into open source. The idea to get the community involved in pushing the potential of Kinect, already a highly innovative controller-free gaming experience, into other applications. Code that's been shared out of Redmond includes face tracking, audio capture, slideshow gestures and green-screen effects. Facebook evolves News Feed with updated look

Today Facebook announced a new layout for News Feed designed to reduce clutter and focus on stories from the people and Pages you care about.  Based off of consumer feedback, Facebook has introduced the following new design updates to News Feed including: 

·         Richer visuals including bigger and beautiful photos, news articles, maps and events

·         Introduction of several new feeds including: All Friends, Photos, Music and Following

First Impressions of Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 tablet

I had the opportunity to check out Samsung's Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet earlier today during a session with Samsung executives focusing on their and SAFE and Knox solutions. The Galaxy Note 8.0 fits squarely in between the Galaxy Note II and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. It also competes directly with the hugely successful Apple iPad mini and the famously disruptive Google Nexus 7 tablets. Here are my impressions on Samsung's midrange tablet.
