LG snipes Samsung on Galaxy IV launch date, shows it has a sense of humour

While Samsung is attempting to 'take the fight to Apple by launching a product in their backyard,' with tonight's launch event. LG has seen an opportunity to dump on Samsung's pomp and pageantry by dropping a billboard right on top of Samsung's own billboard. Samsung's ad screams "Be ready 4 the next Galaxy," and LG's right above says "LG Optimus G is here 4 you now!" LG even matches Samsung's colour scheme of black and white panels.

WhatsApp Messenger now available for BlackBerry Z10

At long last, the popular WhatsApp cross-platform messaging app is available for the BlackBerry Z10. Considered one of the first major third-party apps for BB10 and a must-have on any device, WhatsApp is available for free. BlackBerry Z10 users (and users of older BlackBerry devices) will now be able to join iOS, Android, Windows Phone and Symbian users in the biggest cross-platform chat experience available now. Hit jump for the full release.

Patch Tuesday: Microsoft pushes out firmware update for Surface RT

Microsoft is hard at work making the Surface RT tablet better. They just pushed out a huge Firmware update that improves WiFi connectivity, fixes issues with the volume button, improves the Type and Touch keyboard cover typing experience and fixes a 'random muting' issue as well as trackpad performance issues. Included in the update is improved IE handling of Flash content from whitelisted websites as well as updates to the Defender security application. Surface RT users can pop on in to System Update to enable the updates.
