Twitter gets a redesign

The video above shows what Twitter's new redesign and features are going to look like.

Twitter will debu three new buttons at the top of the page — these are  Home, @Connect and #Discover. @Connect shows who has mentioned you and suggests some accounts you might want to follow. #Discover shows what’s trending.

The big difference on the homepage with the new design is that tweets appear on the right side. The design is more balanced and easier on the eyes.

Review: Sony NEX-7 Digital Camera

Sony's NEX 7 ($ 1200) is easily the epitome of how far mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras have gone. This is a prosumer-oriented compact APS-C sensor camera that has a 24 megapixel sensor and 2.4M dot OLED electronic viewfinder into its magnesium alloy body and yet still finds room for a pop-up flash and Alpha hot shoe. We spent some time with a pre-production model (the NEX-7 is slated for an early 2012 release, pending production ramp up in flood-stricken Thailand). Here are our impressions of what Popular Photography magazine has chosen as Camera of the Year.

Apps & Launches: Flipboard comes to iPhone and iPod Touch

One of the best news aggregation and reading apps on the iPad is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch.

Flipboard elegantly aggregates various feeds, Facebook and Twitter streams as well as curated content and puts it in a stunningly presented and easy to navigate interface. On the iPad, users could scroll sideways just like a magazine but in the iPhone version they now thumb through the content which can be accessed with one hand thanks to the intuitive design.
