Galaxy Nexus from Google will be landing in Canada on December 8 at Virgin Mobile and Bell. Both those companies have sign up pages on their websites. Canada gets the goods ahead of the US which still has to announce a release date for the Galaxy Nexus. Check out our first impressions of the device.

I have always been somewhat obsessed with the idea of publishing a book. In the dark ages, before we had technlogy like the Internet or cloud computing or even printers, it was a very expensive and labour intensive proposition. Not anymore, thanks to a service called Blurb.

When Nikon finally decided to join the mirrorless and ILC (Interchangeable Lens Cameras) this year, many enthusiasts expected expensive prosumer type models with a lot of technical features similar to Nikon's market leading DSRLs. The Nikon 1 J1 ($649) with a 10-30mm lens, the more consumer oriented of the two models released isn't dirt cheap and it isn't all that complicated to use. With a Lego-like cuteness factor seemingly geared to the fashionable and trendy set and an extremely compact body, the Nikon 1 J1 is full of surprises.
