Flipboard preps video ads for news reading app

If you thought being on Flipboard meant you wouldn’t be bombarded by random, annoying video ads, then that is about to change real soon. They are now rolling out full-page video ads through a pilot program. You will be able to see promo clips from the likes of Sony Pictures when you browse through News or Entertainment. If all things go well, then the pilot will be expanded on November 1st. We’re not sure we are keen about this new idea but at least these ads won’t autoplay and scare you in the middle of the night while you browse or something.
