Motorola presents the most cohesive concept of what an Android smartwatch could be today by offering a high-degree of customization, some variety in finishes, as well as useful health tracking features. 

A progenitor of many of today’s health-trackers and smart watches, Motorola’s MotoACTV was launched in 2011 to lukewarm interest. Fast-forward to 2013 and Motorola, now in transition between Google and new owner Lenovo, has taken the Motoactvs four-year old processor and built one of the most compelling smart watch offerings around it.

Android Wear is a new fork of the Android ecosystem, one that’s very much in its infancy and while features of the new OS are limited to push notifications from Google Now as well as a handful of third party apps, the potential is huge.

U2's iTunes giveaway 'Songs of Innocence' breaks records, revives back catalog

As part of the announcement bonanaza that was last week's Apple Event which gave us two iPhone 6's, Apple Pay and the Apple Watch, Apple also gave every iTunes subscriber instant access to U2's new album 'Songs of Innocence,'. This free download broke some records to the tune of 2 million downloads which grants the album 'double-platinum' status, a big deal in term of distribution. A nice halo effect of this freebie is that it reanimated U2's back-catalog and so people have been rediscovering their classic songs as well. 

How significant is this halo effect, Re/Code has noted that 'In addition to the strong download performance for Songs of Innocence, some 17 of the group's 27 previous albums have made their way into the iTunes top 100 chart. That's something that would never happen in real world record sales and charts, but hey, good for Bono and the lads. 64-bit Chrome to come to OS X in November

Google will be releasing the official non-beta version of Chrome Web browser on Mac’s OS X in November. However, they won’t be releasing the 32-bit version and would only have 64-bit available for Apple users.

According to a blog post from Google: “Unlike on Windows, where Chrome is available in both 32-bit and 64-bit, on Mac, Chrome will only be available in 64-bit with version 39 and after. As a result, 32-bit NPAPI plugins will not work on Chrome on Mac version 39 onwards.”
