Huawei’s flagship Ascend P6 smartphone is available from WIND

The much awaited Ascend P6 from up and coming smartphone giant Huawei is now available in Canada from Wind Mobile. Available in black, the Ascend P6 is available from Wind for $399. It features Huawei’s proprietary Emotion UI. The smartphone features a 1.5GHz quad-core K3V2E processor and a sleek metallic body, along with a 4.7-inch high definition in-cell display and industry-leading 5MP front-facing camera.

“Our handset business continues to build momentum in Canada and around the world, and as a result we’re able to introduce great, cutting-edge devices like the Ascend P6 to Canadian wireless users,” said Huawei Canada President Sean Yang.

Moto G product shot leaked ahead of next week's announcement

SD Association launches 4k-ready SD card

At the moment, 4K video capture is generally limited to professional level equipment and a few mobile devices. However, the SD cards in regular cameras can’t take the large amount of pixels needed for 4k videos. So, SD Association launched the Ultra High Speed Class 3 card format, which is capable of at least 30 MB/s. Now, we just have to wait for devices that are U3-capable.
