Apple counting up to 50 Billion app downloads with $10,000 contest

Apple is about to celebrate a really big milestone as the near the 50 Billion app download. That's a lot of zeroes and great news for developers of the iOS platform. To celebrate, Apple is giving away a $10,000 App Store Gift Card to the lucky winner who buys the 50th billion app. Below is Apple's copy from their website.

As of today, nearly 50 billion apps have been downloaded worldwide. And we couldn’t have done it without you. So we want to say thanks. Download the 50 billionth app, and you could win a US$10,000 App Store Gift Card. Or download one of the first 50 apps after that, and you could win a US$500 App Store Gift Card.^* Browse the App Store and download your next favorite app.

Apple also revealed the top 25 free and top 25 paid apps of all time. The original Angry Birds is the most downloaded paid app of all time. Here's the list.
