Pass the Winter blues with Squiggle Racer coming to iOS and Android

Inspired by the highly-addictive gameplay which helped propel Flappy Bird to popularity, Squiggle Racer combines nostalgic 8-bit racing fun with simple tap-and-play gaming to create an experience which is as seemingly simple as it is incredibly hard. Squiggle Racer is available as a free download for Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems respectively.

With a career as a developer spanning over 15 years, Schulze has had the opportunity to work, Developed in just under two weeks for both iOS and Android, Squiggle Racer was created to fill a void caused by long hours indoors avoiding this abnormally cold winter.

“My nieces and nephews were bored and needed a new kind of stimulation. I have always loved the old school racers, as I remember playing them at the skating rink arcade as a kid. I decided to take on the ease-of-use concept of Flappy Bird, while adding my own unique spin” says Charles Schulze, President of CS54 Inc.

Currently working at Yahoo as a principle Engineer, Schulze previously worked as an Engineer at HBO. develop web, mobile, and enterprise applications for some of the world’s top brands, most notably creating and manage, and developing popular app “Comb Over Charlie” and working on the team that developed the HBO GO suite of applications.

“The game is highly-challenging and very addictive. The old school 8 bit feel will bring you back to the days whengames didn’t rely on special effects and 3D to be fun,” says Schulze.

Users can expect future updates to include: longer tracks, more choice of cars, more power-ups, and of course, being the gamer at heart that I am, cheat mods.

CS54 Inc. was founded by hybrid designer and software engineer Charles Schulze in January 2011. The bulk of Schulze’s experience came from servicing small interactive media agencies to large-scale organizations such as HBO, AOL, and Yahoo!. His passion for games inspired the inception of CS54 where several new games are always in the works.
