Nintendo's newest hardware is an alarm clock

Nintendo wants you to live, breathe, and wake up to its games. Nintendo launched the Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo. It's a new motion-sensing alarm clock that will rouse you from slumber using sounds from video games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4, Super Mario Odyssey, and more.

Alarmo comes with 35 wake-up "scenes" from different Switch titles. It allows you to "experience immersive sounds and music" from these games. This clock comes with various alarm settings.

It features a Steady Mode that gradually increases the sound the longer you stay in bed. Its Gentle Mode offers a more "consistent intensity level." Plus, its Button Mode features a classic snooze button action that requires you to smack it to shut the alarm up.

Alarmo can also help you sleep with its "sleepy sounds," a.k.a. the soothing music it plays to help lull you to sleep at night.

It can track your sleep and motion and monitor how much you move around, similar to the Pokémon Go Plus Plus sleep tracker it launched for Pokémon Go / Pokémon Sleep apps.

If you have a Nintendo Account, you can link your Alarmo to it and download additional scores from Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Animal Crossing: New Horizons for free at a later date.

This $129.99 clock is now available for pre-order in Canada through Nintendo's website. It'll be available to purchase for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers only. But Nintendo plans to sell Alarmo at retail starting in early 2025.
