How to translate text with your iPhone Camera

Source: Lifehacker

While you can use apps like Google Translate, Microsoft Translator, or Apple's own Translate app, your iPhone's Camera app can also help you out. All you need to do is frame the text in the middle of the viewfinder and wait for the yellow frame to appear around it. Then tap the text icon at the bottom right (or the top right, if your iPhone is in landscape mode).

There will be a Translate option if it is in a language that isn't the default system language of your phone. You can tap the translated text, and it would pull up a card that lets you copy the translation, add it to your favourites, or open it in the Translate app.

If it isn't working for you, you might not have it enabled. To check, head to Settings > Camera and check if Show Detected Text is enabled.
