'Minecraft' lands on Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27

Mojang Studios has officially announced that Minecraft is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 on October 27. The upcoming release will feature enhanced Vibrant Visuals set as the default visual mode, delivering upgraded lighting and shadow effects across the game, including supported Minecraft Marketplace content. Existing Nintendo Switch edition owners will have access to a digital upgrade path, with further details regarding the transition expected soon.

The new edition will also include an upgraded version of the Nintendo-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack, optimized to take full advantage of the improved graphics. Players can explore iconic Mushroom Kingdom locations such as Peach’s Castle and Delfino Plaza, complete with themed music, custom textures, and character skins.
