Apple will reportedly release redesigned AirPods next year

It's been over a year and a half since the second-generation AirPods were released and almost a year since the AirPods Pro's launch, so it's not surprising that there are rumours Apple plans to revamp both wireless earbuds. Both will supposedly get new designs and better chips. The Pro might lose the signature stems, making it look similar to the Galaxy Buds Plus and Pixel Buds. It will still have noise-cancellation, though. The challenge is trying to fit the components in a smaller form factor.

Meanwhile, the entry-level AirPods will inherit some of the Pro's design with a shorter stem and replaceable ear-tips. It will reportedly get a better battery life, too. According to Bloomberg, we can expect the new AirPods as early as the first half of 2021.

Rumours suggest Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be similar to predecessor

Do not expect a big leap from the Galaxy S20 Ultra to the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Rumours suggest the upcoming Samsung flagship will have a lot of the same specs as its predecessor. It will have the new rear camera module design, but it will have the S20 Ultra's 108-megapixel rear sensor. In front, the punch-hole cutout will house a 40-megapixel shooter. The S21 Ultra will reportedly have a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x Infinity-O display, 5,000mAh battery, and Android 11 and One UI 3.0 out of the box.

Codenamed O3 with a model number SM-G998U, the Galaxy S21 Ultra and its other series mates will reportedly launch earlier next year in January instead of February. Earlier leaks claim the phone will measure 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9mm, running on either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 or Exynos 2100. It will supposedly come in Black or Silver.

The messy legal battle between Epic Games and Apple rages on, and a new filing has the game developer firing back against the iPhone maker. Epic claims Apple "has no rights to the fruits of Epic's labor" in Friday's filing.

Epic said, "Apple's repeated assertions of theft boil down to the extraordinary assertion that Epic's collection of payments by players of Epic's game to enjoy the work of Epic's artists, designers, and engineers is the taking of something that belongs to Apple."

It reasoned that Epic couldn't "steal" sale proceeds since the product is from its creative efforts and that it didn't "interfere with any prospective economic advantage Apple sought to gain from Fortnite users separate and apart from their interest in Fortnite."

Samsung Galaxy S21+ shown off in new CAD renders

If you wondered what the Samsung Galaxy S21+ might look like, new 3D renders have surfaced online. Based on these schematics, the plus model is seen to have the same camera setup as the regular S21, while the Ultra gets the fancier camera design.

As we've seen in earlier leaks, the camera module blends into the device's metal frame, but it raises a bit from the phone's back. The S21+ shares the S21's flat display, with rumours that its bezels are equal on all sides.
