Quick tip: You can see songs that have been pulled from Spotify

Here’s a quick tip you Spotify users might or might not know. By default the music streaming service hides the songs that have been pulled from its service. But if you want to check if a particular song is out of its roster, you can head to settings, which is located at the cog wheel on the upper right corner of Your Library section and just select Show unplayable songs/Show unavailable songs in playlists. If you’re on the desktop client, head to Edit > Preferences and then scroll down to Display Options. From there, you can see grayed out song titles. It won’t show any information if the song is coming back or why it left in the first place. But if you want to see which songs you might want to download so you can have them in your collection, this is a good thing to turn on.

Nintendo fans clamor for ‘Mother 3’ after ‘Star Fox 2’ release announcement

Brownie Brown/HAL Laboratory/Nintendo

Following the announcement of the unreleased Star Fox 2 being bundled into the upcoming SNES Classic Edition, Western Nintendo fans have started to ask Nintendo to bring Mother 3 back, too. The game was released on Game Boy Advance in Japan and never made it out of the country. With the logic that Mother 3 was a completed game, it seems like a reasonable request from fans that the game be made available worldwide.

Star Fox 2 wasn’t released after consumer attitudes changed when the PlayStation was released. Meanwhile, sales of EarthBound back in the SNES days were so poor that it seemed Mother 3 was unmarketable outside of Japan. The Mother series though has been gaining awareness and reputation after its characters appeared in Super Smash Bros. games. We can’t say if the clamor for it is enough for Nintendo to consider releasing the game. But Nintendo has surprised us before so we hold out hope for it.

Google Photos tries out new UI for sharing feature

Looks like Google Photos is trying to make it easier for you to share your photos with your family and friends. Android Police shares some screencaps featuring the new design. If you try to share photos, there’s a new screen with a carousel-like photo picker to make it easy to look for photos you took around the same time as the one you shared. You just need to tap them to add to the list of photos to send.

And with Google introducing Family groups, Photos is integrating a new Family group sharing target in the list. This’ll make it easier to share photos in one fell swoop. You can still of course deselect people and add ones you’d like to share these shots with.
