Dutch police are training eagles to take down drones

Drones are great devices for getting birds eye view video and photography as well as for various types of recreational flying. But when they are used to take unwanted photos of private property or when they are potentially dangerous. The thing is, shooting down drones isn't the safest way to remedy the situation. Dutch Police are training Majestic Eagles to identify and knock down drones. It's an interesting approach although the eagles can get hurt by the drone's propellers which isn't ideal. The tests are still undergoing so it remains to be seen if eagles are the best solution worth considering for drone control.

Alphabet is now the world’s most valuable company

It’s been six years since Google has managed to surpass Apple as the most valuable company in the world. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is now worth around US$570 billion, compared to Apple’s $538 billion value. Apple has held the top spot since 2013 after overtaking Exxon Mobile. But thanks to strong earnings report, Alphabet takes the top spot. Google has brought in a total of $74.5 billion in revenue and a total income of $23 billion for 2015.

Apple had its biggest quarter this Q1 of 2016 as the company has made $18.48 billion in profit, which is the most a company has made in a single quarter. But that isn’t enough to satisfy its investors apparently as iPhone sales are expected to drop for the first time in the second quarter of the year.
