Here’s our first look at Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ for Netflix

We’re getting our first official teaser of the second Netflix-exclusive Marvel show, Jessica Jones.  Jessica, played by Krysten Ritter, isn’t your typical superhero. She’s not your regular goody two-shoes and she doesn’t seem like a morning person either, as seen in this trailer. The show will be picking up from where Jessica Jones retires from being a hero and sets up her own detective agency in New York City. The show will be premiering on the streaming service on November 20th.

MyCarAcc 1.0 for Android measures car acceleration and speed

MyCarAcc 1.0 for Android measures car acceleration and speed with utmost accuracy thanks to combined use of both GPS and the in-device accelerometer. As a result, users can quickly learn true dynamics of their cars compared to factory values or pre-tuning parameters.

It goes without saying, car performance on the road is one of those things both professional and newbie car owners like to discuss, compare and test. While manufacturers do provide dynamics specifications, the consistency of these data with out-of-the-lab operation of a car is questionable. And when it comes to measuring acceleration of tuned or modified autos, the need for an accurate tool to evaluate true acceleration and speed of the car becomes even more evident.

The Apple Beat: The iPhone ‘S’ Cycle in focus

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

While it makes for a cool feature to demo, 3D Touch is actually the one feature that could rewrite the way we use our iPhones and in a dramatic way that changes what we can accomplish simply by tapping, pressing, and press-holding on icons and menus.

Every other year, Apple launches a ‘new and improved,’ variant of the iPhone from the previous year. Some think of the ‘S’ iPhones as the tock of the tick-tock cycle and usually wait to upgrade to the next magical and revolutionary device to ship a year later. For others, the ‘S’ devices are actually the best version of that generation’s iPhone and the device to get.

By comparison, other smartphone manufacturers tend to dramatically overhaul their flagship models on a yearly basis. Not just in look and feel, but also in functionality and even user interface. I guess with the exception of HTC, which has pushed out similar looking flagship phones for the past three years now, the objective for the likes of Samsung, LG and countless others, is to offer something almost completely new each succeeding year.
