Grabb launches app to help Torontonians pre-order and pre-pay for meals at over 30 restaurants

Grabb is a Toronto-based mobile app that aims to help people skip-the-line at busy downtown restaurants. The app, which is available for iOS & Android, lets users pre-order and pre-pay for meals at over 30 restaurants in the King West, Queen West and Financial core including Hero Burger, Aroma Espresso Bar, What A Bagel, and Buna’s Kitchen.

Other mobile food apps like Tab and delivery app Just-Eat are already popular with Torontonians, and with Uber Eats rumoured to launch its delivery service here soon, there couldn’t be a better time to be launching an app for hungry downtowners.

Review: Apple MacBook (2015)

Spruce up your email with GIFs using Giphy for Gmail

Looking to add some spice into your emails? Giphy wants to arm you with tons of animated GIFs for your Gmail messages. The Giphy extension is free and it lets you easily insert GIFs into your emails. Once you’ve installed the extension, you’ll see the Giphy rainbow icon in your Gmail composition window. From there you can select which popular GIFs you want to add to your message.

Google debuts Chrome extension meant to get user feedback

Google wants your help to develop its Chrome browser further. The company introduced a new Chrome extension called Chrome User Experience Surveys. You’ll be getting occasional pop-up surveys about your experience when something unusual happens in your browser, for example for a notification or malware warning. Google promises though that they won’t spam you with pop ups. It’ll show no more than two surveys per day and a total of four surveys per week. It should also just take you around two minutes to answer each survey.

The company claims they aren’t tracking browser history with this extension. That this extension only gets your feedback and you will remain anonymous. If you’re feeling generous and want to help Google out, you can download the extension now.
