‘Gears of War’ to be getting a remastered version on Xbox One

It’s become a habit (and a source of income) for companies to port their classic games to the latest consoles. Microsoft is cashing in on that trend with a remastered version of the first Gears of War game. The company, together with Black Tusk Studios and Dirty Bomb’s Splash Damage, are working on the game. It’ll feature better in-game graphics and “reworked cutscenes” made by animation studio Plastic Wax.

However, don’t expect it to be a new game. But if you’re feeling nostalgic for the cover-based shooter, this might be something to watch for.
