Canada and 11 other countries to get Nexus 6 soon

While stocks of the Nexus 6 might still be plaguing the U.S., it would seem Google is gearing up to make the new Nexus device available for Canada and 11 other countries. Canada, Australia, the UK, France, and Germany are just some of the countries now seen under the “Country availability” page for the Nexus 6. So, this means all the new Nexus devices will be available for purchase via Google Play Store. Pre-orders should be heading our way soon but Google is saying exactly when it would be available. We will keep you posted for any updates.

Spotify extends Connect feature to desktop app

Spotify has extended the functionality of its Connect feature beyond mobile devices and speakers to the desktop. You can now control the music you play on Spotify’s desktop app right from your Android or iOS device. You just have to make sure you have the latest version of Spotify on your desktop and your smartphone or tablet. Now, just select Now Playing bar and tap on the connect icon at the bottom right. And then you just select your computer and then you’re all set to control your music remotely.

TELUS brings Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE to subscribers

If you have been waiting for the metal-clad Samsung Galaxy Alpha or the LTE version of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4, today’s your lucky day. TELUS will be bring both premium devices to its subscribers.

The Galaxy Alpha will be available on a two-year term starting at $180 or $700 outright. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 LTE can be availed under the Easy Tablet program, which lets customers buy the tablet for a lower cost upfront. The remaining balance can be paid through equal monthly payments over a one- or two-year term without interest. You can get the Tab S, for example, for $100 upfront plus $20 per month over two years or outright for $580.
