Cupertino - I'm onsite at the Apple headquarters for today's special annoincement. Stay tuned for reports from the keynote as well as follow-up hands on photos and video from the event. Apple Store is down in preparation for today's special event

Apple's Online Store is currently down in advance of Apple's announcement today. Usually a sign that announced products are available for preorder or purchase at the end of the announcement. Expected today is a refresh of the iPad line with thinner models, the addition of Touch ID fingerprint sensors, new A8 processors as well as updated iOS 8 software. Also widely expected are new iMacs possibly with Retina Displays as well as maybe new Thunderbold displays and Mac minis, two product lines that Apple has left untouched for a long time.
