Motorola dives into wearables with Android-powered Moto 360 smartwarch

 

Motorola Mobility is no stranger to wearables, but it is committing to giving its current Moto X and Moto G smartphones a companion device in the Moto 360. A round smartwatch that looks like a premium watch. Here's a brief description from Moto's blog.

"Moto 360 keeps you on time and up to date without taking you out of the moment or distracting you, telling you what you need to know before you know you need it through subtle alerts and notifications. With just a twist of the wrist you can see who’s emailing or calling, what time your next meeting is or a friend’s latest social post.

Samsung Galaxy S5 coming to TELUS and Rogers in Canada

TELUS and Rogers have both confirmed they will be carrying Samsung's Galaxy S5. TELUS says the Galaxy S5 will be available in-store at TELUS on April 11 with pre-orders launching April 1. For customers who just can’t wait, they can pre-register now on their website to receive information and early access to pre-order the Samsung GALAXY S5.  

Rogers has the Samsung Galaxy S5 available for reservation right now for a release of April 11.  Pricing is $249.99 on select two-year term agreements. Prices for Samsung Gear:  Gear 2 Neo, only available with Rogers, for $219.99; Gear Fit for $219.99; and Gear 2 for $329.99.

Apple's iPad with Retina display now starting at $399

Apple today announced another surprise, the iPad with Retina display replaces iPad 2 as the most affordable 9.7-inch iPad at $399 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model and $529 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. This removes the popular but non-retina enabled iPad 2 from Apple's catalog.
