Netflix app for iPhone and iPad now offers AirPlay and HD Streaming

The updated Netflix iOS 7 app for the iPhone and the iPad will stream Netflix in HD. Make sure you are watching a title that’s available in HD and have a fast enough Internet connection. Users can now also start streaming over AirPlay. This new feature is very simple and works on all iOS 7 devices. While this enables higher quality video, users need to take into consideration that using the feature will require more bandwidth. With the new iOS 7 app, users can pause, seek, select audio or subtitles and stop playback from their iPhone or iPad. Find out more here.

Nokia rolls out Here map update for offline maps

Nokia has announced an update for its Here map application. Windows Phone smartphones are going to be receiving an update in the coming days that allows for incremental updates of offline maps. This means that if only a portion of a map is updated, then you can just download that part. Nokia hopes this reduces your data consumption and faster update overall. No word yet when it’s coming to Android and iOS platforms.
