LG premium phones get “G” branding

We may or may not find out what “G” stands for but LG Electronics intends to use that letter for their premium smartphones. The Korean brand’s next flagship device is going to be known as the G2 and will be the first phone to represent the brand. Another brand change is the renaming of their 4:3 display devices to just “Vu.”

Review: Chevrolet Sonic RS Turbo

I had the pleasure of testing the Chevy Sonic RS over a weekend as well as through a Klout perk that brought me and two dozen people to the Canadian Tire Motorsport park for an intensive stunt driving and racing course. So, I had the opportunity to test the Sonic RS as a daily driver as well as in a sportier setting.

It is hard to imagine that the top of the line Chevy Sonic RS is the replacement for Chevy's humble Aveo econobox, but it is. Chevy has heaped all the premium features, amenities and upgrades on the Sonic RS, so that it is replete with luxuries and conveniences worthy of larger, loftier and more expensive cars.

LinkedIn update for BlackBerry 10

LinkedIn just released a 10.1.4 for its BlackBerry 10 app. Some of the new features include more content on your Home Stream, automatic refreshing to keep your content up to date, LinkedIn updates instantly appear on your BBM profile, and improved search capability.

Apple acquires Toronto-based Locationary

In a move to bolster it's location services across devices, Apple has reportedly purchased Toronto-based location data and crowdsourcing startup Locationary. Locationary uses a large data exchange platform and crowdsourcing to constantly gather, merge and verify data and geographic points for local businesses. It will be interesting to see how these services will enrich the iOS and Mac mapping experience moving forward.
