I preordered, I paid, but Surface never surfaced.

Microsoft's innovative new Windows 8 Surface tablet failed to make it to customers who preordered in Canada and the UK on launch day. No reason was given.

Preorders for the device started as early as October 16, promising a launch day release. But many customers who took a chance on Microsoft's fledgling new tablet instead received e-mails offering them $50 credit and apologies for the 'confusion' that was caused.

Quad-core LG Optimus G comes to Telus on November 13

Telus has announced that it will be offering the LG Optimus G smartphone starting on Novemeber 13. This is LG's Android superphone that features a powerful 1.5GHz  processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 13 megapixel rear camera, 1.3 megapixel front facing camera and a 4.7 inch display. The LG Optimus G runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Apple sells 26.9 million iPhones in record 4th quarter revenue and profit

Still buzzing from a slew of huge product announcements last week inclduding the much awaited ipad mini, Apple announced financial results for its fiscal 2012 fourth quarter ending September 29, 2012.

Apple posted quarterly revenue of $36.0 billion and quarterly net profit of $8.2 billion, or $8.67 per diluted share. These results compare to revenue of $28.3 billion and net profit of $6.6 billion, or $7.05 per diluted share, in the year-ago quarter. Gross margin was 40.0 percent compared to 40.3 percent in the year-ago quarter. International sales accounted for 60 percent of the quarter’s revenue.
