Samsung launches flagship smartphone for this Summer

Samsung today took the wraps off the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III smartphone. The successor to the Galaxy S line, the new device boasts a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display. The Galaxy S III will feature a powerful 1.4 Ghz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM and an 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front camera with face recognition.

Samsung Galaxy S III is powered by Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, with TouchWiz, Samsung's own Android overlay. The new Galaxy also brings wireless charging, a voice dictation and control feature called S Voice and improved power management for better battery life. It launches end of May in Europe

Samsung sets up for Galaxy S III Launch tomorrow

Samsung's already lengthy line of Android devices is about to get even bigger. The Korean mobile juggernaut is preparing to launch its latest flagship Android smartphone tomorrow. The Galaxy S III launch is expected to be a big deal, that is why Samsung is offering to livestream the event which begins promptly at 2 PM Eastern time.

There has been a lot of speculation on what the new Galaxy will bring, all will be revealed tomorrow.

iWork.com Beta to be discontinued on July 31

Apple will discontinue the iWork.com beta so users of that service will need to move their documents to iCloud before July 31.  Hit jump for Apple's announcement.

SlideShow: BlackBerry World 2012 Day Two

It was a big day for Research In Motion and for their new CEO Thorsten Heins as he unveiled BlackBerry 10, their future mobile operating system. Highlights of the day included a sneak peek at the Developer Alpha Hardware, some insight into new keyboard and camera technology as well as a QNX-ready Porsche.

The day ended on a high note as RIM threw a party in Universal Studios Orlando featuring the Martinez Brothers (of the we need tools, not toys fame). It was a great way to celebrate the good news that RIM is back in the race and a nice break before everyone goes back to work to make BlackBerry 10 a contender later this year.
