CES 2012: Lenovo's Cloud goes after the Four Screens

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Lenovo has big things planned for you. They want to give everyone a personal cloud and they want people to be able to access this cloud through a four screen strategy namely smartphones, HDTVs, tablets and computers.

Wait, did Lenovo just get into the HDTV and smartphone business without telling anyone? Well, it seems that they've been in these non-consumer PC businesses in Asia and now that they have brought a cloud solution to bring it all together seamlessly, they're aggressively chasing these two markets.

Demonstrated here at CES were some fascinating new Lenovo tablets, notebooks, hybrid ultrabooks and all-in-one PC's that are completely touch enabled and can lay flat on a surface. The big story, however, is the cloud component that works across all devices and allows various ways for people to share their information back and forth across devices.

Stay tuned for a complete photo-filled walkthrough of Lenovo's booth as well as similar coverage from Samsung, Sony, LG, Sharp and Acer.

CES 2012: Day One in Photos

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

What can I say, CES 2012 is bigger and badder than ever. Day One we saw the future of the electric car from Ford with their innovative Ford Focus Electric and Fusion (complete proprietary with solar panels that can help power the cars), more MacBook Air impersonatin' Ultrabooks than Elvis has lookalikes, Sharp's stunning next gen 4K and 8K HDTV display technology  (and nifty portable HDTVs), all kinds of awesome devices from the Showstoppers exhibit plus a way out of control (in a good way) Lenovo + Intel party featuring the All American Rejects and DJ 2nd Nature.
