SlideShow: Photos taken with the Apple iPhone 4S Camera

We've had about 24 hours with the iPhone 4S and while our initial interactions with Siri were gratifiying and the faster speed and features of iOS5 and iCloud have changed the way we user our iPhone, it is the camera that's really impressed us. Here are some unedited photos we have taken with the iPhone 4S. That 8MP camera is just superb, arguably the best on any mobile device we've tested. We will pit it against some point-and-shoot cameras  soon to see how it fares against dedicated cameras.

Apple sees shares hit all time high, reclaims most valuable company position

Today was definitely a good day for Apple. The iPhone 4S launched, the initial iOS 5 hiccups were resolved and iCloud is starting to build momentum. Judging from the long lines forming around Apple stores and mobile carriers, this was a sucessflu launch. We also received news that Apple shares hit an all time high today rising by 3.3% to $422 a share. Apple company is now worth $391 billion. Today also saw Apple streak by Exxon and once more becoming the world's most valuable public company.

Canon to make a Historic Global Announcement on Nov 3rd

Canon may finally be getting into the compact Interchangeable Lens Camera market in 2012. The leader in DSLR and point-and-shoot segement, Canon is the remaining holdout in this popular new area of photography. Perennial Archrival Nikon has already played its hand with the Nikon N1 which will be available soon. Canon still has to consider Sony, Olympus, Pentax, Panasonic and Fujifilm which all have appealing small models with alre sensors and a variety of lenses.

Google, Samsung set to launch Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on October 19th

A sure sign that a new version of the Google Android OS is ready for release is the appearance of a new statue in the Googleplex lawn. Ice Cream Sandwich (or Android 4.0) isn't just the 4th generation of the monbile OS, it is also the unifiying system that will work on both smartphones and tablets. In other news, Samsung is slated to release the Nexus Prime or Galaxy Nexus flagship phone on the 19th. We heard Motorola (which is now owned by Google) is also gearing up to release some new device to replace the now heavily discounted  Motorola XOOM.
