TikTok reportedly tests 'Watch History' feature

Source: Hammod Oh/Twitter

You might finally be able to see that TikTok you weren't able to bookmark but wanted to see. TikTok is reportedly working on a new Watch History feature to make it easier to find what you've watched so far. It was spotted by Twitter user Hammod Oh and is accessible through the app's settings and privacy menu. The feature is being tested out, so you might not have access to it yet. The company gave its standard response when asked to comment by Mashable. It says it is "always thinking about new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience."

Before this, TikTok users have resorted to digging through the app's search function to spot previously viewed clips by toggling some filters. But this doesn't show TikToks chronologically, and you need to input a relevant search term. We don't know what the feature will look like if and when it rolls out, but it's certainly an essential feature for making the experience better on the app.

Apple has finally brought its Apple Maps experience to Canada. It offers detailed 3D buildings and improved navigation in select areas, including Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver. You can expect detailed road markings, land cover, trees, elevation, public transit routes, etc. There's even a new windshield view for drivers and immersive walking directions in augmented reality.

Some of the detailed Canadian landmarks include the Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal and Robson Square in Vancouver. The update is rolling out to users with iOS 15, macOS Monterey, and watchOS 8.

Google and Spotify will be giving you options on what payment system to use. The search giant introduces this new pilot program to counter the concerns of app makers about its high fees and alleged anticompetitive behavior. So, when users download Spotify from the Play Store, they will get an option of either Spotify's payment system or Google Play Billing. This option will be available in some countries in the coming months.

The pilot involves a small number of participating developers, beginning with Spotify. "This pilot will help us to increase our understanding of whether and how user choice billing works for users in different countries and for developers of different sizes and categories," Google said in a blog post.
