Nothing prices upcoming wireless earbuds with ANC at USD 99

Nothing is taking a page out of OnePlus' playbook by giving some info on its upcoming first product ahead of its launch. The strategy isn't surprising given that its founder Carl Pei helped co-found the smartphone brand. But this time, we're talking about new wireless earbuds, the Ear 1. According to the startup, these buds will feature three-mic active noise cancellation for USD 99 (around CAD 123).

It'll definitely target those looking for more affordable buds. As for whether these will be quality earbuds is another story. Nothing is set to unveil the Ear 1 on July 27.

OnePlus registers OnePlus Pad trademark in Europe

OnePlus has ventured beyond smartphones in recent years. And fans are speculating whether the company is set to enter the tablet market soon. OnePlus copyrighted the term OnePlus Pad in the European Union, which seems like a curious move given OnePlus' parent company is based out of Shenzhen, China. OnePlus filed the trademark application in January this year.

As Android Police pointed out, the name is generic enough that we aren't sure what it could be. Perhaps the company is still in the preliminary stages of developing the product. We're going to keep our eye out for it anyway.

Nintendo launches new Switch with larger OLED screen

After many rumours, Nintendo unveils its new Switch model. It features a larger 7-inch, 720p OLED screen with smaller bezels. It has 64GB of storage, a wired LAN port and works with existing JoyCon controllers. It does not output in 4K, though. You can get it in a neon red/blue colour scheme with a black dock or in a white/black colour scheme with a white dock. It'll cost USD 349.99 (around CAD 434) and arrive on October 8th.

As Engadget noted, it might be tough to get your hands on this new console. The company is still contending with shortages and production issues. While the original Nintendo still sells well, the console was due for a refresh.
