Microsoft is discontinuing Paint 3D, the enhanced version of the classic Paint app, later this year. Originally introduced with Windows 10 as a part of Microsoft's focus on creators, Paint 3D is set to be removed from the Microsoft Store on November 4, 2024.

Volkswagen's Golf EV might come out earlier than expected

Volkswagen's partnership with Rivian might bring the much-anticipated electric VW Golf to market sooner than expected. The German carmaker will reportedly launch the Golf EV to market in 2029, or even sooner, as its first electric vehicle based on its software-define Scalable Systems Platform.

Volkswagen expects its new joint venture with Rivian to pay dividends. It plans to invest up to US$5 billion, with US$3 billion going to Rivian and $2 billion going into the venture. According to reports, it will upgrade Volkswagen's Modular electric drive matrix (MEB) platform to MEB+ in 2026. These moves can help ensure the Golf EV comes out sooner.

Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 bring significant upgrades

Google's latest flagship earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro 2, offer a substantial improvement over their predecessors. While the overall design remains similar, the new model is lighter and smaller, with improved comfort thanks to the return of wing fins.

Google launches refined Pixel Watch 3

Google has unveiled its Pixel Watch 3, a significant upgrade from its predecessors. Offering two sizes (41mm and 45mm) with smaller bezels, UWB support, and a larger battery in the 45mm model, the new watch addresses many of the shortcomings of its earlier iterations.

Building upon the foundation of the Pixel Watch 2, the Pixel Watch 3 introduces a brighter (2,000 nits), more power-efficient display with a smoother 60Hz refresh rate. Additionally, it boasts a range of health-focused features, including a daily "Morning Brief" summarizing key health metrics and a pulse detection feature that can automatically alert emergency services of a medical emergency.
