Apple has made its scientifically validated Hearing Test feature on AirPods Pro available across Canada, bringing a clinical-grade hearing assessment tool directly to users' homes. Based on pure-tone audiometry, the interactive test lets users check their hearing levels in around five minutes using compatible AirPods Pro paired with an iPhone or iPad. Results include an audiogram, personalized recommendations, and a numerical hearing assessment stored securely within the Health app, which can be shared with healthcare providers to inform medical care.

The feature launch comes alongside the debut of Apple’s over-the-counter Hearing Aid feature in select Canadian markets where local regulations permit.
