Spotify Friends Mix makes you a playlist based on what your friends are listening to

If your friends have excellent taste in music and you want to get in on that, Spotify has another automated playlist that brings you the latest tracks your friends are listening to. You will need to use Spotify's Blend feature for Friends Mix to work. According to Spotify, Your Friends Mix will create an ever-updating playlist based on what you and your friends are listening to.

The Friends Mix relies on your old Spotify Blends, so if you haven't made those yet. You need to first. When you've created three Blends, the Friends Mix should automatically generate. You'll have access to it on your Made For You hub. This playlist updates daily. It's currently available on iOS and the desktop.

Apple's Safety Check is meant to help protect people in abusive relationships

Source Apple

One of the new personal safety features Apple introduced at WWDC 2022 is meant to help those in abusive relationships. The new Safety Check feature makes it easier to cut ties with their abusive partners. With iOS 16, you can manage app access and passwords and revoke any access to apps and features like Find My, location, data, contacts, and more. You can also find out who has access to your passwords and information.

And if you need it, there is an Emergency Reset option that resets access for all people and apps at once across devices synced with your iCloud. It's also a way to review your security settings.

Apple will let you edit or unsend an iMessage in iOS 16

Apple

One of the new iOS 16 features will allow you to unsend or edit a message after sending them. But this only works if you're sending a message to another iOS 16 user. And you can only edit or unsend a message up to 15 minutes after it's been sent. After that, it will be uneditable or can no longer be unsent. Those running iOS 15 or earlier won't get this feature. And they might even see the messages you have unsent even if it's no longer visible from your end.

To edit or unsend a message, you need to long-press on the specific line in your conversation and tap on either Edit or Undo Send. As MacRumors pointed out, these features will only be available to blue bubble iMessages and not the green SMS messages.

YouTube ends picture-in-picture iOS test for Premium users

It looks like YouTube is done extending its picture-in-picture test for Premium iOS users. It has already disappeared from YouTube's list of available experimental features. It was previously listed with an April 8 expiry date. Some users already see a "The feature you're trying has been turned off," but it looks like it's working for some accounts who previously signed up for the test.

The test was supposed to be for a limited run anyway. But YouTube has said that it plans to bring picture-in-picture to all iOS users in the US, even the non-Premium ones, "in the coming months." Now, we're hoping that update also makes its way here. We'll keep you posted on any news!
