Sony Reader app coming soon to iOS and Android

So, check this out. Pretty soon iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch) and Android (smartphones, Samsung Galaxy Tab) will be able to run all major eBook Reader formats. We already have Kindle, Kobo and Barnes & Noble Nook apps available on both platforms and Sony is committed to releasing its Sony Reader app as well. This is big news for avid readers who want the largest selection of eBook sources without needing the eBook reader devices. Add Google's eBookstore to the mix and tablets as e-reader tools just became a lot more compelling.

Video: BlackBerry PlayBook vs Apple iPad in browser tests

Matthew from RIM's Web Browser Group walks us through a comparison of web browser tests between the as of yet unreleased BlackBerry PlayBook and Apple's iPad. They compare loading regular HTML pages, Flash enabled pages and some of the rendering aspects of both tablets. The PlayBook is faster in the tests but we also need to consider that the iPad's screen is larger.
