PS5's download bug has an easy yet troublesome remedy

Source: SonyThere seems to be a bug on the PlayStation 5 where downloaded software from the PlayStation Store gets stuck in the queue. You'll be informed that the game is queued for download or an error occurred, but then nothing will happen. The next logical step is to restart the download. However, when some users who encountered the issue tried to fix it, the software they're downloading is nowhere to be found. And when they try to visit the store, their purchase is wiped, and they're being asked to buy the title again. The issue seems to be happening with different titles, suggesting it's a problem with the PS5 itself.

One quick fix from your end would be to factory reset your console. Thankfully, the PS5 is new, and cloud saving is now available. But with the size of games to download, the process can be troublesome. Sony hasn't commented on the issue yet. But if this issue is more widespread, we're expecting to hear from them soon, hopefully with a better fix in tow.

Fix found for missing "Do not disturb" alarm feature on Android

Android 5.1 Lollipop users have the option of controlling notifications with “Do not disturb until next alarm” option. However, said feature was removed when Android 6 Marshmallow was introduced. It was re-introduced in Android 6.0.1 update. But now it looks like it’s gone again. A Reddit thread points out that some users even saw it disappear while they were using the phone. According to Android Central, it seems to be happening to the Nexus 6P. But the Reddit thread points to the Nexus 5X.

An update on Reddit though claims it has to do with the date, “People figured out it had to do with the date. Change your date to past the holidays and it will reappear. Why Google did this... I don't know.” Anyway, if you’re one of the few who has the latest Android build, it’s best you know about this in case you miss an important alarm because of it.

2013 Wi-Fi models of Nexus 7 running on Android Lollipop have video playback issues

It doesn’t come as a surprise that software updates come with the occasional bugs. This time around the new Android 5.0 Lollipop update seems to be causing trouble for some of the 2013 Wi-Fi models of the Google Nexus 7. After updating and watching a few videos, the video player seems to get lost and your system can’t locate it. You won’t be able to access videos using pretty much most players.

We’re hoping Google addresses this soon but temporarily what you can do is watch videos on a different device. Or you can try displaying the “Use NuPlayer” option in the developer options menu, reboot the device, or wipe the cache from your device.

iOS 8.0.2 now available for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, fixes bugs

Apple just released iOS 8.0.2 for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touch devices running on iOS 8. The update is said to fix the connectivity issues affecting some users and also the Touch ID sensing issues. iOS 8.0.2 is available immediately as an over-the-air download and in addition to fixing the cellular issue introduced with iOS 8.0.1, it also brings bug fixes that were included in the original update.
