TomTom expands fitness wearable line with three new models

TomTom adds to its fitness wearables portfolio in North America with the announcement of a line of new and distinctive devices:

  • TomTom Touch: World's first fitness tracker to measure body composition and all day heart rate from the wrist
  • TomTom Spark 3: A fitness watch that leverages TomTom’s well reputed heritage in GPS and map technology, TomTom Spark 3 comes equipped with Route Exploration so that fitness enthusiasts can freely explore new places

Lenovo announces Moto Z Play smartphone coming to Canada

Lenovo launched the latest Moto Z Play model at IFA today. The Moto Z Play is a mid-range flagship that will fall under the Moto Z and which will feature a 2.0 GHz octa-core processor, a stunning 5.5” 1080p HD Super AMOLED display and 3GB RAM of memory. It will have a 16MP laser autofocus camera and will come to Canada later in September for approximately $650 CAD, outright. Moto Z Play will be available at Rogers, TELUS and Koodo.

Ford GT production in Canada extended for two more years

Ford Motor Co. has announced that it is extending the production of its Ford GT Supercar for two more years. Intially producting 500 GTs, with 250 being built a year at a facility in Markham, Ontario, the company has accepted it received 6,506 applications for the first 500 vehicles which are priced at $400.000 a piece.

“While we can’t build enough Ford GTs for everyone who has applied, we are going to produce additional vehicles in an effort to satisfy more of our most loyal Ford ambassadors,” said Dave Pericak, global director at Ford Performance, in a statement Friday. “We want to keep Ford GT exclusive, but at the same time we know how vital this customer is to our brand.”
