Pioneer expands Apple CarPlay compatible lineup with AppRadio 4 for $599

CarPlay is Apple's iOS for vehicles that puts the power of iPhones in cars and enables various entertainment, navigation and even Siri integration features hands free. A lot of these features are coming to CarPlay enabled cars but for those of us who love their older cars and want to make them smarter, Pioneer's AppRadio 4 line of head units brings the goods.

Pioneer announced that the Apple CarPlay-compatible fourth generation AppRadio 4 (SPH-DA210) has shipped and is currently available at Canadian retail at a suggested retail price of $599. Here's a demo of CarPlay in action. Hit jump for all the details.

Canada’s on Twitter, eh!

We now have an official country Twitter account! Well, it took a while but it now joins the ranks of Great Britain, Israel, South Africa, and Sweden to have official country accounts. These accounts are usually meant to promote tourism and stay away from any political matters. We don’t know yet what direction this account will take but it has published three tweets so far with one saying it will be a “shop window for everything that makes Canada the best country in the world.” You can follow the official English account here and the French account here.

Review: Google Nexus 6

One of the most confounding products to come out of Google’s Nexus program, the Nexus 6 leapfrogs the Nexus 5 in terms of size, weight and pricing, while serving as the second official vessel of Google’s next generation Android Lollipop OS. 

There was a time when purchasing a Nexus device meant getting the very latest software and hardware on an affordable yet high-spec device. Buying into the Google Nexus ecosystem was like purchasing the future months before it happened and I, like thousands of other phone enthusiasts, often bought first and asked questions later when it came to these Nexus branded smartphones.
