HTC's RE action camera now available in Canada 

The RE action camera was HTC's big announcement in October. The cross-platfrom camera is ideal for capturing life's moments while freeing up your smartphone. We've just heard that the RE is coming to Staples this week for an SRT of $199.55. Stay tuned for a more comprehensive hands on once we get our hands on the new RE.

Review: Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD Review

It’s everything you need, and nothing you don’t need, which is minimalism at its best.  And yet, this is one pricey piece of tech.

When it comes to laptop docks, there isn’t a whole lot to say. The bottom line is, does it offer me the ports that I need to attach my peripherals both now and in the future, is it convenient to use, does it look good on my desk, and – most importantly – does it fit my budget?

The Belkin Thunderbolt 2 Express Dock HD largely checks all of these boxes and even goes one further by including a Thunderbolt cable which would normally set you back $30-$50 depending on who makes it and where you buy it.

iTunes releases Best of 2014 for Canada highlighting the most popular downloads and apps

Today iTunes released  iTunes Best Of 2014 for Canada, highlighting the favourite music, movies, tv, apps, and books of Canadians. 

Pharrell Williams topped the songs chart with his hit Happy from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, while Taylor Swift is #1 on the Albums chart, with her single Shake it Off being the 7th most downloaded song of the year. 
Frozen dominated iTunes downloads in 2014. Among the most downloaded games was Monument Valley and Pixelmator for iOS. Hit jump to read the rest.

Microsoft supports Hour of Code as part of YouthSpark initative

Hour of Code sets students up to become future successes. It’s all about making coding attractive for young adults and fun for students and teaching them important life skills.

Microsoft’s partnership with Code.org is part of Microsoft YouthSpark, a global effort to empower youth to do more and achieve more, including expanding access to computer science education.
