Google acquires Timeful for time management features in Inbox and Calendar

Google has made it a point to acquire apps and companies that have developed technologies it would like for its properties. This time around, Google has spotted iOS app Timeful which is designed around efficient time management features that it will likely incorporate into Inobx, gMail and Calendar. As for iOS users who use Timeful, the app will continue to work but will be perpetually frozen in its latest version with no further development or updates coming.

Google's Pony Express feature to allow payments in Gmail

We get bills in our email all the time, wouldn't it be great to be able to securely pay from our mail clients? If your mail client is Google's Gmail or Inbox, this is on its way. Recode has unearthed documents referring to a Pony Express feature within Gmail that will allow users to enter their payment information as as debit or credit card information to pay for bills right within the application. Bills would be organized within their own designated folder. Sounds convenient. The feature is expected to roll out in Q4 2015.

Lollipop's memory leak problem confirmed, to be addressed in firmware update

Some Lollipop owners are experiencing some memory leak problems with their devices. Android OS 5.0.1 apparently shuts down apps and constant home screen refreshes. While the Android community has been waiting on Lollipop to come to their devices, it is apparent that there are still a number of bugs to be squashed and that's possibly why it is taking so long to roll out the update.

According to Phandroid, "The thread on Google’s Android Issue Tracker shows a range of Nexus devices afflicted, everything from Nexus 7 2013, to Nexus 4, and Nexus 5 showing Android system eating upwards of 1.2GB+ of RAM (normal usage is around 500MB)." The problem is noted and will likely get a fix soon.
