Sony’s promo image shows two new possible devices

It’s that time of the year when leaks and teasers are starting to surface thanks to the upcoming IFA. This time around we have Sony, possibly intentionally, leaking two new devices they might be showing off at the show. The image above is from a Facebook promo page of the SmartBand. And while it doesn’t show the wearable device, what we see instead is what looks like the rumoured Xperia Z3 mini tablet (a new size for Sony’s tablet line) and possibly a new SmartWatch. It has been almost a year since the SmartWatch 2’s release so we won’t be surprised if new iteration if it shows up.

LG will reportedly launch OLED screen-toting G Watch 2 at IFA

Looks like LG was taking the criticisms against their first Android Wear device seriously, if rumours are to be believed that is. The South Korean tech firm just barely introduced its first G Watch and now there are reports that they will be introducing the G Watch 2 at IFA next month. The updated version of the smartwatch will reportedly carry an OLED screen, which will be a big departure from the LCD screen of the first-gen smartwatch. It will also feature an updated look to counter criticisms against the G Watch’s plain, uninspired design.

Acer's got a bunch of products it is releasing prior to IFA in Berlin, including the Icona A3 10.1-inch Android tablet. The Iconia A3 features a quad-core 1.2GHz cortex A7 processor it delivers smooth 9 hours of video playback, better mobile gaming, as well as fluid and fast navigation through apps and websites and Acer says that the10.1” WXGA display (1,280 x 800) with IPS technology offers crisp and accurate colours. Brave move by Acer since the 10.1-inch Andrid tablet category has long been in limbo.

Breaking: Images of Samsung's Galaxy Gear smartwatch emerge

VentureBeat has published images of what it believes to be the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch that's slated for release on September 4 in IFA, Berlin. Photo is of the prototype sent to developers and partners and while it may differ from the finished device, it could be very close to what we will see on Wednesday.

VentureBeat's source also presented them with detailed design studies and sketches as well as some specifications. The Galaxy Gear is said to be a health tracker with a camera. So, definitely not a smartwatch replacement but another health-focused accessory like a FitBit or a Nike Fuelband. Check out more images and all the details over at VentureBeat.
