OnePlus 8 Lite prototypes with triple-camera setup leaked online

OnePlus is reportedly releasing a "Lite" version of the OnePlus 8. And now, we're getting a look at the rumoured device. Leaker Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24 on Twitter) shared images of the OnePlus 8 Lite spotted in a Chinese video with CEO Pete Lau. Agarwal noted the phone looks taller and that it doesn't look like the previously leaked CAD renders were accurate as the phone has a triple-camera setup with flash on the side.

Other rumoured specs of the OnePlus 8 Lite include 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of internal storage, a MediaTek 100 processor, 4,000mAh battery, and 6.4-inch AMOLED display. At this point, we aren't sure how accurate the images or these specs are, so make sure to take this leak and the others like it with a grain of salt.

OnePlus launches bug bounty program, offers as much as US$7,000

After a second data breach in the last two years hit OnePlus in November, the phone manufacturer launched a new bug bounty program to help improve its security. And now, you can start reporting any bug or vulnerability you find over at the OnePlus Security Response Center. You will need to make an account to make a report. OnePlus even has a leaderboard for top contributors on the bug bounty program's main page.

If that isn't incentive enough, OnePlus is offering rewards based on the different tiers starting at US$50 up to US$7,000. We don't know how OnePlus is classifying each tier, but the company says the compensation you could get is "determined based on vulnerability severity and actual business impact."

OxygenOS 10.0.7 coming to the OnePlus 7T to improve camera performance

The latest OxygenOS 10.0.7 update brings some needed improvements to the OnePlus 7T, including improved camera quality and the November security patch. OnePlus also throws in some bug and stability fixes along with RAM management optimization. The update also fixes the black and white screen issues some of the phone's owners are experiencing. The launch speed of the apps has also been improved.

One weird thing about the update, though, is that it shows up as 10.3.0 on their phones. OnePlus is aware of this problem and will let users know once they've fixed this issue. OnePlus 7T owners should be receiving the update notification now, so keep your eye out for it.
