Jon Favreau says he’s working on ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 2

While the Star Wars show The Mandalorian isn’t debuting on Disney+’s streaming service until November 12^th, the show is already greenlit for another season. The show’s creator Jon Favreau said he’s working on pre-production for season two, including writing and preparation for special effects shots. Starting work on special effects now will help save them time as well as produce quality effects for the TV show. It also shows that Disney has confidence in the first season, and they are willing to bet people will want more. The Mandalorian takes place five years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and it’s set in the outer reaches of the galaxy.

Lucasfilm takes out Matt Smith from the cast list of ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Doctor Who star Matt Smith might be out of the upcoming Star Wars film, The Rise of Skywalker. Or is he? Well, for now, he has been taken out by Lucasfilm from the cast list on the film’s international website. We’ve seen most of the new cast in a recent feature on Vanity Fair but Smith was nowhere to be found. But since rumours of the actor being involved in the film surfaced about a year ago, he has remained coy about his involvement in the film. Some fans are speculating that his role might involve the return of Emperor Palpatine. It came as a shock when the villain showed up in the first trailer for the film, but director J.J. Abrams confirmed that we will be seeing him in this film. Now, as for Smith, at this point, we’re going to have to wait and see if he does indeed show up.

Here’s your first look at the new characters from ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is one of the big blockbuster films closing out our year. And we’re always excited to hear updates about the J.J. Abrams-led film. We get even more excited when we hear about the new characters entering the Star Wars universe. Vanity Fair gave us a sneak peek into the new characters we might grow to love or love to hate once Episode IX drops.

One of them is Keri Russell’s mysterious Zorri Bliss character. From the teaser image Vanity Fair released, she looks like a cross between Laura Dern’s Admiral Holdo hidden under a Boba Fett-like mask. She’s described as a “masked scoundrel” and seen in the image posing at the Thieves’ Quarter on Kijimi.

Here’s your first look at ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’

We finally get a look at the final installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy. We also learn that it’s going to be called Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. This chapter takes place sometime after The Last Jedi, where Leia Organa’s (the late Carrie Fisher) Resistance movement was forced to go on the run by the First Order. It opens with the idea that “Every generation has a legend.” It sets up Rey (Daisy Ridley) as the one for this generation, it seems.
