While it's not considered a formal Academy Awards category, you can vote for your favourite film of the year even if it wasn't nominated for an Oscar. You can share your favourite through Twitter using the hashtag #OscarsFanFavorite. The film that receives the most fan votes by March 3 will be acknowledged during the awards broadcast on March 27. Twitter expands downvote replies experiment worldwide

Source: Twitter

Twitter wants more users to try out its new downvote replies feature by rolling it out globally. The company is testing it out with more users on the web, with plans to bring it to mobile soon. Unlike downvoting on sites like Reddit, the tallies aren't made public. Instead, Twitter uses it to tweak what replies to show users.

Twitter finally brings Communities to Android

Source: Twitter

After four months since its debut on iOS and the web, Twitter Communities are finally available on Android. The topic-based groups let you chat and see what other like-minded Twitter users are tweeting. You can't set up your own Communities for now, but you can suggest new ones you'd want to create and moderate. Twitter says it'll keep these in mind as they add more communities.

Other plans Twitter has for Communities include adding a third type of membership that lets users request to join a Community, ranked timeline, Q&As, and ways for mods to highlight some of a community's best content.
