Samsung Galaxy S III comes to Canada today

We've waited and we've waited some more and the day has finally come.  Samsung's Galaxy S III, the smartphone "built for humans" finally comes to Canada and will be available from Bell Mobility, Virgin Mobile, SaskTel, TELUS and Rogers Wireless. The SGH-iT999 model will be available from Videotron, Wind and Mobilicity.

With supposedly over 9 million pre-orders, this flagship Samsung smartphone is the first unified Galaxy device available on various carriers, and explosions notwithstanding, is expected to be the best selling Samsung smartphone yet and a leading Android device. The original Toshiba Thrive was the Russian Fur Hat of the first gen of Android tablets. It was large and heavy but it did the job well (and offered a removable battery plus sundry ports).

Toshiba's slimmed down their 10-inch Excite tablet significantly yet kept all the convenient ports and features. Now we have a ultra-vivid 7-inch tablet with an OLED screen as well as a lavish 13.3-inch Android tablet (the biggest in the market) aimed at the home entertainment segment. Toshiba is really exploring the market and trying to offer the widest range of products for a variety of users. All three run similar specs and have the same ports although the OLED screen particular to the little one (7 inch) is stunning.  Which one strikes your fancy?

This is the Toshiba Satellite  U840W Ultrabook and it is one of the most unique and intriguing form factors we have seen.

Clad in machined aluminum with a healthy dose of rubber, this 3.5 pound notebook is ideal for running multiple windows and watching films in a more cinematic aspect ratio.

With the latest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, harman/kardon stereo speakers and LED screen, it is a premium notebook that is unlike anything else in the market right now. The ultrawidebook also has a hybrid-SSD with 32GB of Solid State storage and 500GB of hard drive space, 6GB of RAM and a starting price of $1099.99 makes this an interesting entrant in the high end notebook market.
