Porsche celebrates 70 years of sportscars at the 2018 Canadian International Auto Show

We got a sneak peek at one of the highlight evens at the upcoming 2018 Canadian International Auto Show which kicks off on Febuary 16th. Featuring six iconic Porsches including an early 365 Carrera and the GT-2 Supercar, the exhibit traces the roots of Porsche and also reveals some of its future plans with a glimps of the Mission E, an electric vehicle many see as a Tesla-killer.

See the highlights from the media event today with Achim Stejskal, Director of the Porsche Museum, hosted by Norris McDonald, member of the Canadian Motorsport Hall of Fame and Former Automotive Editor of the Toronto Star.

Amazon's Alexa A.I.  can recognize individual users within a household and deliver personalized experiences based on who’s speaking? Today, Alexa’s “Your Voice” feature started rolling out to customers in Canada. Customers can enroll by asking Alexa to learn their voice or by using the Alexa app.

GM brings Maven City app-driven car-sharing service to Canada

Car sharing reduces congestion and helps everyone get there faster. Each shared car takes about 10 private cars off the road, and thanks to Maven, car ownership in Toronto is no longer necessary. - GM

GM has been looking at various possibilities for the future. It is all-in on EVs and has brought both the Volt hybrid and Bolt EV to market, it has brought innovative Cadillac car-rental model with BOOK by Cadillac which ensures a new, fully gassed up Cadillac delivered right to your door every month.

For the rest of us, there's Maven, which is GM's car-sharing service.  Maven is a personal mobility app that provides on-demand vehicle access for everyday life. Pricing is arounf $9.00 per hour for compact cars. GM is also entering a market with various incumbents, including Car2Go, Turo, Enterprise CarShare and the leading provider in Toronto, ZipCar.ca.
