Dr. Dre to drop new album after 15 years, will be exclusive to Apple

'

Dr. Dre joined Apple when Beats was bought by the Cupertino-based tech giant. So it comes as no surprise that Dr. Dre will be creating exclusives for the company. The hip-hop mogul announced on his Beats 1 radio show "The Pharmacy," that he’ll be dropping his first new album in 15 years entitled “Compton A Soundtrack.” He describes it as his “grand finale” on Twitter so we speculate it’s his last major album, but then again we can be wrong. The album comes out just in time for the release of the "Straight Outta Compton,"movie which chronicles Dr. Dre and rapper Ice Cube's meteoric rise as rap's supergroup N.W.A.

The album is already available for preorder on iTunes and will drop on August 7th. It’ll also be up for streaming on Apple Music. As mentioned in the title, this’ll be an Apple-exclusive release.

Google Auto, the future of Google cars?

Google Auto has been around for a while. They’ve been responsible for the self-driving car experiments Google has been doing. The division has been set up as a distinct company back in 2011 and they’ve been partnering with car manufacturers since that time to bring their auto-related experiments to life. As a company, they can legally manufacture cars on their own. It’s worth noting that Google Auto’s the first Google product that has been spun off into its own company. Perhaps, it’s been done that way to shift risk away from Google or make filing paperwork easier. Either way, we won’t be surprised if there might be Google-branded self-driving cars in the future.

Frontback gets resurrected with new ‘partner’

After announcing they were shutting down, the selfie app Frontback announced that they’ve signed an agreement with a partner to keep the app alive. While they wouldn’t reveal who the mystery partner is, Frontback says the partner “believes as much as we do that there’s something incredible with Frontback.” And that they are “fully committed to make Frontback an even better place to share your moments.” There’ll seem to be new changes coming to the app though, so be prepared for those.
